沈敬東 1965年生於南京，是中國當代藝術中「新波普藝術」的標誌性人物。他畢業於南京藝術學院美術系，並曾在南京軍區政治部前線話劇團任職多年，這段獨特的軍旅生涯成為其創作最核心的靈感源泉。

Shen Jingdong, born in Nanjing in 1965, is an iconic figure of “New Pop Art” in contemporary Chinese art. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing University of the Arts and served for many years in the Frontline Drama Troupe of the Nanjing Military Region Political Department.
