Liu JiaHua
劉家華 1970年生於四川,是當代中國極具代表性的表現主義油畫家。他畢業於四川美術學院,是中國當代藝術「川美系」的重要成員之一。
劉家華在中國藝壇被視為從早期「傷痕美術」與「鄉土寫實」轉向當代表現主義的關鍵藝術家之一。他以強烈的情感色彩和獨特的城市敘事,確立了其在中國當代油畫領域的鮮明位置,作品廣泛展出於國內外重要藝術機構。
當代人的生活以都市為中心,當代的許多問題也集結於都市。的作品大多與“都市”有關。從表現思路上看,其作品是直接反映都市本身,通過從城市化到都市化的變遷與發展,來反思、審視中國的社會現代化進程。新世紀以來,反映都市題材的作品層出不窮,並成為了當代藝術中重要的組成部分。觀表達中增強了自身的文化針對性。
通過劉家華的作品,觀眾會有一種獨特的都市體驗。因為這些場景既是真實的,又是具有荒誕感的;既來源於現實,但其間又具有超現實的成分。正是依託於圖像在視覺空間上的“錯位”,以及圖像敘事的多義性、片段性、非邏輯性,當代都市建設那種繁榮與混亂,都市化所帶來的那種生存的彆扭與存在的荒誕感,在作品中自然地流露出來。
「紅城記」系列是劉家華最具標誌性的作品,特色鮮明,畫面以濃郁、飽和的紅色為主調,這種紅色既是具象的磚瓦、城市的記憶,也是抽象的情緒符號,具有極強的視覺衝擊力。筆觸細膩、層次分明,營造出一種如火般燃燒的城市景觀。他將城市風景人格化,使其充滿了焦慮、熱情與變遷的張力。「紅城記」不僅是描繪城市景觀,更是對中國城市化進程中那種集體記憶與文化消逝的深沈反思。
Liu JiaHua was born in 1979, Sichuan Province of China. His childhood memories are filled with the paradise sceneries of Dazhou, Sichuan, where he used to stay in a “utopia” village.
Liu left his home for academic opportunity, carrying with him a deep impression that the rest of the world is similar to where he came from. He kept his inner self hidden upon enrolling to the Sichuan Academy of Fine Art. The school was located in a fast-paced, urbanized city. Subconsciously, Liu grew up under the influence of the city. He became sensitive and curious to his surrounding environment.
Upon graduation, Liu’s project was based on social issues. He grasped the opportunity to expose inner desire to vocalize on subjects of his heart’s desire: “Urbanization”. “Demolition of Buildings”, “Faith” and other social elements.
The Chinese traditional building has been a symbol of Liu’s artworks from the very start of his creation, for a city is like a book to him, it witnesses the change of the social tides and the development of history. His intentional way to infuse romance in traditional culture with the collapse of the great buildings in his series of creations are well-received by many.
